Spider-Man 4 Has To Finally Break An Annoying MCU Spidey Trend

Spider-Man 4 Has To Finally Break An Annoying MCU Spidey Trend

As a longtime Spider-Man fan and MCU enthusiast, I couldn't be more excited about the upcoming release of Spider-Man 4. However, there's one trend in the MCU's portrayal of Spidey that I hope the latest movie can finally break.

Peter Parker's Reliance on Tony Stark Must End

One of the most frustrating aspects of the MCU's version of Spider-Man is his reliance on Tony Stark. In the first three Spider-Man movies, Stark loomed large over Peter Parker's life, and his tech played a significant role in Spidey's crime-fighting activities. It's time for Peter to stand on his own two feet and become the hero he was always meant to be.

The Need for More Solo Villains

Another issue with the MCU's portrayal of Spider-Man is the lack of standalone villains. While Vulture and Mysterio were excellent adversaries for Peter Parker, they were both tied to the larger MCU storylines. Spider-Man needs more villains to fight on his own, without the assistance of other heroes or villains.

A Return to Spider-Man's New York Roots

Spider-Man is synonymous with New York City, but the MCU's version of the character has spent most of his time outside of the Big Apple. While it was exciting to see Spidey join the Avengers and travel to space, it's time for the character to return to his roots and protect the streets of New York City.

Peter Parker's Identity Crisis Must Come to an End

The MCU's version of Spider-Man has been dealing with an identity crisis since the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, when his secret identity was revealed to the world. In Spider-Man 4, it's time for Peter to take control of the situation and come to terms with his dual identity as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

A Focus on Peter Parker's Personal Life

Finally, Spider-Man 4 needs to spend more time exploring Peter Parker's personal life outside of his crime-fighting activities. Fans have been invested in Peter's relationships with MJ, Aunt May, and his classmates, and it's time for these characters to receive the attention they deserve.

In conclusion

Spider-Man 4 has the potential to be the best MCU Spidey movie yet. However, the film needs to break free from some of the trends that have held the character back in the past. By allowing Peter Parker to stand on his own two feet, exploring new villains and personal relationships, and returning to his New York City roots, Spider-Man 4 could be a triumphant return to form for one of Marvel's most beloved characters.
